Beautiful vintage genuine ruby diamond 14k rose gold ring, large in scale, and sized to fit a large hand with a finger size 11.25.
The center transitional cut diamond, apx. .15ct, with its halo of nine 1-point single cut diamonds, is raised slightly. The white gold diamond swirl around the center diamonds has feather-like carved detail at the end. It is set with seven diamonds, two full cut and five single cut, graduated from about .10 ct to .015 ct. There are seventeen diamonds total, a .50 ct total weight. Diamonds are a nice white face-up color, and they average SI clarity.
Outside the diamond swirl is a swirl of nine round rubies graduated from about .10 ct to .05 ct. Accenting the other side of the ring is a fan of rose gold petals set with nine square cut rubies, apx. 03 ct. each. There are eighteen rubies total, a .65 carat total weight. Nice deep red color. Total gemstone weight is 1.15 carats.
The setting at the top measures 18mm x 24mm, narrowing to 2.5mm in back. The ring weighs 12.9 grams. Size 11.25.
We date the ring to the 1940’s, the retro modern style.
